How Does it Work?

Creating HTML image maps is simple and free with our tool. First, choose an image from your computer or load one from a website. Then, create your clickable areas using rectangle, circle, or polygon shapes—just point and click on the image to define them. For each area, add a link, title, and target. Once you're done, click "Show Me The Code!" to get your image map.

What is an Image Map?

An image map lets you click on different parts of an image and go to different websites. Instead of having to wait for the server to figure out where to send you (like with older server-side image maps), image maps work right in your browser. You define "hot areas" on the image, which are specific parts that users can click. Each hot area is linked to a different destination. For example, imagine you have a world map. You could set up hot areas for each country, so when you click on a country, it takes you to a different page.

About

Our tool makes it super easy to create free HTML image maps. It's built for modern browsers (sorry, older ones like IE8 don't work). Everything is done right in your browser using HTML5, SVG, and JavaScript. Note: Your images are never uploaded to any server. All files stay on your computer, and they’re read directly into your browser without being transferred anywhere.
